Nothing kick-starts Christmas like an advent calendar and here at Woodmansterne, we definitely don’t think they’re just for children either. Adults, and even pets, are welcome to enjoy our beautifully designed calendars too.

With the abundance of waste and excess that Christmas brings (much as we all love to gorge on turkey and cranberry sauce), we continue to champion traditional paper advent calendars loved by previous generations. After all, there are only so many mini cheese bites or tiny bottles of gin you can have with your breakfast.

Paper calendars offer a timeless way of counting down to the festive season; one that has been enjoyed for generations and can be celebrated once more as the revival of all things vintage continues. It also means you’re not dealing with sugar-filled children on the school run… surely a benefit!

At the end of 2013, Woodmansterne acquired Caltime, the advent calendar specialists who had been creating traditional paper calendars for almost 40 years and began creating the unique Caltime by Woodmansterne Advent calendar collection.

What’s new in 2026?

In 2026, the range of Advent calendars has been rebranded under the Woodmansterne name, bringing the collection into the Woodmansterne portfolio while retaining the craftsmanship, charm and nostalgia customers love.

The range continues to benefit from Woodmansterne’s award-winning production and design expertise, ensuring every calendar is both thoughtfully made and beautifully finished in the UK.

Alongside this name change, the collection has been refreshed with new packaging colours, designed to add variety and create greater excitement on display in-store. Using recyclable paper wallets and headers, all Woodmansterne Advent calendars are completely plastic-free.
