Sophie’s paintings capture moments of her life in West Cornwall. Sophie works principally by sketching directly from life and occasionally referencing her own photographs. By concentrating on the essence of objects and scenes, she creates feelings of joy, calm, escapism and stillness using her strong sense of colour to evoke positive emotion.
